How do we keep your data safe?
We use high-level security measures to ensure your data is collected and stored safely. We encrypt our data in a secure environment to ensure it is safe from malicious access, and have ongoing monitoring, auditing and threat detection tools in place. We continuously conduct 3rd party cybersecurity reviews and audits of our application code base, data and cloud infrastructure.
How do we protect your accounts?
All client accounts are held at either Canaccord Genuity Corp. (CG) or Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC). CG is the Canadian wealth management division of Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. and FCC is a member company of the Fidelity group of companies . They are members of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and members of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF), which covers each account up to $1,000,000 against insolvency or bankruptcy of the custodian.
In addition, Harness Investment Management is registered as a portfolio manager and exempt market dealer in all provinces and territories of Canada. Its primary regulator is the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). The OSC administers and enforces compliance with the provisions of the Securities Act (Ontario) and the Commodity Futures Act (Ontario). The OSC works to protect investors and foster fair and efficient markets by monitoring compliance with the rules governing the securities industry.
